From 2010 to 2012, the car was fully restored at Lanes Cars in Staffordshire. Lanes Cars is an established and respected XKE and E-Type specialist known for precise workmanship and period-correct craftsmanship. During the rebuild, the E-Type was refinished in British Racing Green, and the interior was retrimmed in a matching shade of green leather. The result is a combination that suits the car perfectly, with a rich and timeless atmosphere that emphasises the flowing curves of the Series I design.
The restoration went far deeper than cosmetics. The original 4.2-litre engine was rebuilt and upgraded with components from WinSpeed Motorsport (WSM). In 2023, the car was imported into Singapore with the assistance of Auto Icons and has remained under the same ownership since its arrival.
